Wade dunks on Varejao Dunk of the year Nominee

Okay so looks like we have a new nominee for dunk of the year! Dwyane Wade just monster mashed on Varejao, I mean this dunk was just ferocious and has to be added. Also please make note at Jermaine's block of Lebron dunk to get it started!

Shannon Brown nominates himself for 09-10 NBA Season Dunk of the Year!

I have not even begun to put my NBA predictions together as I have done in previous years, I mean preseason has just got on it's way. But last night the bar was set for Dunk of the Year for the 09-10 season. Shannon Brown nominated himself with a nasty dunk on Mike Moore. Preseason or pickup ball whatever you wanna call it, there will be no asterisks next to this dunk because it was down right filthy!

Top Ten Dunks of 2008-2009 NBA Season

Okay so these are my picks for the top ten dunks of the 08-09 NBA season.

#10. Manu Ginobili dunks on Hilton Armstrong

#9. Delonte West dunks on Marvin Williams.

#8. David Lee dunk on Amare Stoudemire

#7. Brandon Roy dunks on Cheikh Samb

#6. Dwyane Wade dunks on Emeka Okafor

#5. Hakim Warrick Dunks on Jermaine O'Neal... from a stand still!!

#4. Jason Terry dunks on Tyson Chandler

#3. Lebron switch hand dunk on the Alanta Hawks. Typically Lebron dunking on some one expected but switching hands like he did and floating across the lane is just bananas!

#2. Tyrus Thomas destroys Jermaine O'Neal with a NASTY dunk. Posterizing just isn't a good enough word to describe what Tyrus did to Jermaine O'Neal.

#1. Joakim Noah coast to coast and dunks on Paul Pierce. Please take notice of the score and time in the game, 3rd OT in a playoff game, 7 footer running the court like this and flushing it on the opponents best player.

Kobe's 61 or Lebron's Triple Double?

Monday night at Madison Square Garden the Lakers paid a visit to the Knicks. What happened that night was another one of those "Did you see that game" games. Kobe Bryant went off for 61 points 3 assists and wowed everyone in the Garden.

Wednesday night Cleveland went to MSG to play the Knicks. Lebron put up 52 points 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

So now the debating has started, Tuesday it was all about comparing Kobe and his 61 points to Michael Jordan and his 55 points back in the 90's. Just to quickly put an end to it, the current Knicks are not even near the team 90's Knick teams, the current coach is offensive minded could care less about playing defense, and the current roster would get torched by the 95 Knicks. What Jordan did was outstanding and against a great Knicks team so that's that.

Fast forward to Thursday morning, now the talk is all about who was better Kobe or Lebron. In a word Lebron. I'm sorry but posting a triple double while dropping 52 is pretty freaking awesome. He not only got his game off the ground and running he grabbed 10 boards and yes I know 1 of them was a little late and pretty much a gimme but that's 10 more boards than Kobe grabbed... yes that is correct Kobe had 0 rebounds. Lebron tossed in 11 assists, I mean the guy was still working with his team and making sure other guys got shots as well.

So to wrap this up both performances were awesome, but you have to take a triple double over just points especially when both teams won.

On a side note how silly does Mike D'Antoni look on television smiling about his team being torched twice in the same week. I mean he was prepared for Lebron to come in after Kobe and put up monster numbers. That is just crazy to me to think he knew what was coming and did nothing to prevent it. Seems like he has no shame in losing and having his team embarrassed.

Why not be the diversion and help your team that way?

2006 NFL MVP,
5 time Pro Bowler,
All-time NFL record for single season touchdowns (31),
and much more....

Can someone please tell me why this guy pulls up lame when big Playoff games arrives? Seems like he was a beast on his way to carry his team to a Super Bowl and these last 2 seasons this guys gets hurt at the absolute worst time. I'm no coach by any stretch but if the guy can at least run (not carrying the ball), then he needs to be out on the field as a DIVERSION!

Let's face it you don't have to through the ball to Randy Moss every play to know he's making an impact on the game. Just having him keep the defense honest is payoff in itself.

LT needs to get out there even if to attract the defenses attention which would undoubtedly open up more opportunities for Sproles, Gates and the rest of the cast. I suppose no one truly knows how much LT is hurting except of course for LT himself, but LT you have to know you can contribute just by being out there, no need to take big hits and carry the ball but get your self out there and help the team.

NBA Playoff Pre-Season Predictions

So the NBA Season kicks off tomorrow night. I am going to list my favorites to make the playoffs today. Then at All Star Break I'll see where I am on my predictions and make any adjustments to my picks. Because let's face it some teams will run into big time injuries and just not be in the picture anymore. If all the teams I pick have no major player losses through the season then I won't change anything. So let's get started.

Eastern Conference in no particular order:
Celtics
76ers
Pistons
Cavs
Bulls
Heat
Magic
Raptors

Western Conference in no particular order:
Jazz
Hornets
Rockets
Nuggets
Lakers
Suns
Mavs
Spurs

I really want to see the Blazers or Clippers get in but I just can't find it in myself to remove one of those 8 teams.

It's just about tip-off time so let's get this party started... WHAT TIME IS IT? GAME TIME!
